Last week, Kavan came down with the RSV Virus, which caused him to have problems breathing, similar to a asthma attack. A steroid shot, a couple of breathing treatments, a test for RSV, chest films and a blood culture later the doctor at the ER had him flown, by helicopter, to Children's Hospital in San Diego at 1 am, so they could keep a watchful eye on him since small children that get the virus can be overcome with mucus that blocks the airways. He is a lucky one, we were able to take him home the next day, once they could stabilize his breathing and the doc saw his condition wasn't getting any worse.
Kavan being wheeled to the helicopter on a gurney.
At the Hospital in his own private room, finally asleep.
Kavan catching up on his sleep, since we were up most the night.
All better now....here is a video later that weekend. He is back to his old cheery self again.
